Terms of Service
General Terms and Conditions for the use of Huntdown.

1. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "Terms") apply to all contracts between Justin Puksic (hereinafter "Provider") and users of the online game "Huntdown" (hereinafter "User").
Note: Huntdown is a private, non-commercial hobby project without any profit motive.
Terms of the User that conflict with or deviate from these Terms will not be recognised unless the Provider expressly consents to their applicability in writing.
2. Contract formation
The contract is formed upon the User's registration on the Provider's website. By registering, the User declares their agreement to these Terms.
Registration requirements:
- Minimum age of 16 years (or with parental consent)
- Provision of a valid email address
- Choice of a unique username
- Agreement to the Terms and Privacy Policy
3. Services
The Provider makes a text-based online browser game available to the User. The base game is free to use.
Game content includes:
Character creation
Creation and customisation of game characters
Combat system
Turn-based combat against NPCs and other players
Quest system
Tasks and missions for character development
Guilds
Joining forces with other players
4. User obligations
The User agrees to comply with the following rules:
Prohibited actions:
- Use of cheats, bots or other unauthorised tools
- Insults, threats or discrimination against other users
- Spam or unsolicited advertising
- Sharing login credentials with third parties
- Multiple registrations (multi-accounts)
Expected behaviour:
- Respectful interaction with other players
- Adherence to game rules and fair play
- Reporting bugs and issues to the game team
- Protecting your own login credentials
5. Liability
The Provider is only liable for damages caused by intentional or grossly negligent conduct. Liability for slight negligence is excluded unless damage to life, body or health is involved.
Disclaimer of liability:
The Provider accepts no liability for data loss, game progress or virtual items lost due to technical problems, server outages or other unforeseeable events.
6. Termination
Ordinary termination:
Either party may terminate the contractual relationship at any time without giving reasons. The User may delete their account via the relevant function in the account settings.
Extraordinary termination:
The Provider may terminate the contractual relationship without notice if the User violates these Terms or misuses the game.
Note: Upon termination, all game progress and virtual items will be permanently deleted.
7. Third-party services
We use third-party services for certain features of our website. By using these features you agree to the respective terms of those providers.
Google Sign-In (OAuth)
We offer you the option to sign in with your Google account. By using this feature:
- You grant us permission to access certain information from your Google account (name, email, profile picture)
- You accept Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
- You understand that Google may process your usage data in accordance with their own policies
You can unlink your Google account at any time in your account settings.
Google reCAPTCHA
To protect our forms from spam and abuse we use Google reCAPTCHA. By using reCAPTCHA:
- You accept that Google collects certain data about your usage behaviour
- You consent to the transmission of this data to Google servers
- You are subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service
The use of reCAPTCHA is necessary to ensure the security of our services.
Discord
We offer a Discord server as an optional communication channel for our community. By using Discord:
- You accept Discord's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
- You agree that Discord processes your data in accordance with their own policies
- You understand that messages and shared content are stored on Discord servers
The use of Discord is voluntary. You may leave the Discord server at any time.

8. Final provisions
These Terms and the contractual relationship between the Provider and the User are governed by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is the Provider's registered office, provided the User is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law.
