Direct sale: List an item at a fixed price. Anyone can buy it immediately at the stated price.
Auction: Start an auction with a minimum bid. Players can outbid each other. In the end the highest bidder receives the item.
Withdraw offer: As long as no bid has been placed, you can cancel your auction at any time.
Market tax (5%)
On every sale a 5% tax is withheld: the buyer pays the full price, you as the seller receive 95%. The tax removes gold from the economy and keeps prices stable. Factor it into your selling prices.

Buy
Buyout: Buy an item at a fixed price directly from the direct sale or use the buyout option of an ongoing auction.
Place bid: Bid on an auction. Your bid must be higher than the current highest bid. If you are outbid, your gold is refunded.
Auction end: The item is automatically awarded to the highest bidder when the time expires.
