First Steps
After registration, you will be automatically redirected to character creation. Choose a name, a class, and a faction. Each choice affects your game experience, so read the descriptions carefully!
Yes! You can create multiple characters and switch between them. Each character has its own progress, inventory, and statistics.
Huntdown is a real-time game. While you are offline, started activities like training or traveling continue. However, battles can only be completed while you are online.
Gameplay
You earn gold through: Quest rewards, battles against NPCs, selling items, PvP victories, and daily login rewards. The most effective way depends on your level and equipment.
Battles are turn-based. The faster fighter starts. You choose actions like attacks, skills, or items. Details can be found in the
Combat System Guide.
Open the map and select a destination. Traveling takes real time - the further the destination, the longer the journey. You cannot fight or perform other activities during the journey.
Training & Stamina
There are four levels: Light (20 min, 15 stamina), Normal (40 min, 30 stamina), Intense (60 min, 50 stamina) and Extreme (90 min, 75 stamina). Higher intensity = more stat gain, but also more stamina consumption and an injury risk.
Stamina is your character's energy for training. It regenerates passively by 1 point every 6 minutes. You can also start the "Rest" action (30 min) which fully restores your stamina.
A breakthrough is a random event where your training yields double stat gain. The probability rises with intensity: Light 3%, Normal 7%, Intense 12%, Extreme 20%. Successful breakthroughs are marked with a ★ in the training history.
If you train the same attribute several times in a row, you build a streak. The higher the streak, the greater the bonus to your stat gain. The streak breaks if you train a different attribute or skip a day.
Occultist & Soul Binding
You receive Soul Fragments automatically through won battles (1–3 per victory), quests, daily login rewards (day 3 and 6) and randomly when redeeming Season Pass tiers.
At the Occultist you can distill 5 Soul Fragments into 1 Soul Essence. The essence is needed to upgrade your equipment. Use the quick buttons (+10, +25, +50, All) to convert large amounts quickly.
The cost equals the target level: +0→+1 costs 1 essence, +4→+5 costs 5 essence, +24→+25 costs 25 essence. The full path from 0 to +25 requires a total of 325 Soul Essence (= 1,625 Soul Fragments).
From +20 there is a failure risk: +20→+21 (10%), +21→+22 (20%), +22→+23 (35%), +23→+24 (50%), +24→+25 (65%). On a failure the essence is consumed and the item drops back by 1–3 levels — but never below +20. So save up enough essence before attempting the final levels!
A +25 item gets a golden shimmer effect in its name. All active stats of the item are increased by +25. This is the maximum bond level — the soul is fully bound to the item.
Live Events & Endgame
Daily and weekly objectives that are the same for all players. Progress is tracked automatically as you play; on completion you immediately receive Season XP, gold and Soul Fragments. More in the
Challenges Guide.
A server-wide boss with a health bar shared by everyone. You fight a beatable instance; your damage is subtracted from the shared bar — even in defeat your partial damage counts. If the boss is defeated, all contributors share the loot by damage share. Details in the
World Boss Guide.
Time-limited monster attacks on locations of the map (marked on the world map). Travel to the affected location and fight — each victory fills a shared kill counter. When the invasion is repelled, all defenders share the loot. More in the
Invasions Guide.
Training is the steady grind for raw stats and is subject to a level-dependent cap. Talents are your build lever: with every level-up you receive stat points to distribute freely — without the training cap. More in the
Talents Guide.
The endgame PvP: factions battle in cycles for control of the map. Enlist and win PvP fights at the front to secure territories for your faction. Held territories grant a faction-wide combat buff and loot. More in the
Faction War Guide.
No. In Ranked fights the stats of both fighters are equalized to a common level (normalization). Your stat distribution (build), abilities and tactics decide — not sheer magnitude or level.
